The collection consists of faculty meeting minutes of Wesleyan College (Macon, Ga.) and its predecessor, Wesleyan Female College from 1861 - present. The minutes include information on student class placement based on examinations, discipline of students, resolutions, and financial information. More recent minutes also contain rosters of faculty members, lists of officers and committee members, committee reports, lists of degrees conferred and potential graduates as well as information on classes and curriculum.

The Georgia Female College opened in Macon, Georgia in 1839 as the first college chartered to grant degrees to women.
